After being on antibiotics my whole life, and the onslaught of gut issues that followed (80% of the immune system lives in the gut. There’s only so much room for bacteria in there, so we need to make sure there’s more ‘good’ bacteria than ‘bad’ to keep the microbiome in positive balance).
I knew there had to be a better way. I have a cabinet full of a variety of decongestants and antihistamines. Cue the unpleasant side effects – sleepiness, constipation, dry mouth. And then there is the net pot, which I love, but honest to god, I have cracked quite a few traveling with this inconvenient little pot.
Nasal congestion, I’ve learned in all this, is far more complicated than just trying to “dry out your sinuses”.
